Choose your mode of transportation. When we hid the caches there were prominent snowshoe tracks as far as #8 - The High Point and from there we made our own trail. Snowmobiles, snowshoes, and skis are great for winter access to the area, while hiking, horseback riding, atvs, 4X4s, and dirt bikes are possible in the warmer months.
Santa Claus was very good to us again which inspired us to spend a day playing in the sunshine, picking up the original caches, and hiding some new caches to entice others to come and play in our backyard.
You will be looking for a Bright Green Preform Tube located along this little known trail that offers many views of the Kootenay Canal. While there are alternate routes back to the starting point we recommend returning the same way you came because we always find the views more spectacular on the return trip when they are more in your face. Be prepared for some "ups and downs".
