A quick park and grab. ** Placed with permission of the owners. If you're able I would still encourage everyone to take a little time to take a peek inside the entrance on Maple Ave. The outer door is usually unlocked around 9:30, Mon. thru Fri., and locked again when business is done for the day. If you're lucky you may get to see the soda being bottled. That usually happens in the afternoon.
The history of soda crafting in Independence is a long one, starting in 1923 and running through 1967. The production line and warehouse were originally located on N River Blvd just south of Truman Rd and my family remembers them well as they lived nearby in the 60s. There is now a small park at that original location named in the honor of those early crafters. Crafting has begun once again and is now located on the historic Independence Square.
