Geocache Description:

Stoney Pond State Forest consists of 1,469 acres and offers visitors an opportunity to view a range of different flora and fauna. The 44-acre Stoney Pond was constructed in the late 1950's to provide wildlife habitat.

NOTE: This area is seasonal access only. This road is not plowed or cleared in the winter months. Parking is available on Jones Road if you do not mind a short hike in to get this one in the winter. Exercise caution.

Activities include

  • paddling
  • camping by permit May 1 through September 30
  • cross-country skiing and snowshoeing
  • horse-back riding
  • hunting and trapping during appropriate seasons(Please wear orange when appropriate)

The cache is located just off the horse trail near Stony Pond Road. Please re-hide as found to ensure the next cacher has as much fun as you did

The cache can hold small trade items but you will need to bring your own pen/pencil.
