This cache takes you for a short stroll along Spotts Beach to a location that must no doubt have been used at some time in the past to stash small pirates treasures. The cache is a small loc-n-loc tupperware with room for a few small trackables.
NOTE: Only the beach is public property, any land off the sand, above the rocks is privately owned. This cache is fully accessible from the beach and does not require going up any of the private stairways.
This pristene beach makes for a superb family outing with lots to do for kids and grown-ups alike and is a regular favourite for our family to visit. Sea Turtles are known to frequent these waters in the mornings and afternoons so it is worth bringing snorkelling gear along. Take care as there can be strong currents at times and in certain spots. There are 2 cabanas with seating and tables for picnicing.
The small cemetery next to the parking contains the graves of two early Chief Magistrates (or Custos) of the islands - James Coe the Elder and the Younger. Each served for several years between 1823 and 1855.
