Geocache Description:

The Jumbling Tower

In 1789 Zebulon Norton purchased 1,820 acres of land for 12.5 cents an acre. He built a mill along Honeoye creek to attract settlers to the area. Remember this was well before the days of the Erie canal. Soon after the settlers came and a thriving community was prospering. In 1810 a bridge was built across the creek and both sides of the town were connected. By the year 1822 the town had many mills and businesses built along Honeoye creek. There was a grist mill, a saw mill, a gun shop, a carding machine shop and an ashery. There were also two blacksmith shops, a cooper's shop, a shoe business and a carpenter.

What this smoke stack stood in use as, I do not know, but this place of beauty and wonder, of water power and fertile land still holds it's value today and with the people of the little hamlet of Honeoye Falls, continues to flourish today and for years to come.

How to find the cache

This is a field puzzle and may take a little time to figure out how to access the cache and sign the logbook. I've hidden a regular sized "outdoor products" dry box (6"x8"x4") in a nice spot to sit and view the creek as the water flows by. Note: Finding the block game in the metal tin is just part of the cache continue to look to find the log.
