The Ballymagerney congregation which meets approximately one mile from the village of Loughall, had its beginnings in the closing days of 1987. Free Presbyterian held a meeting in the local Mission Hall and resolved to meet on a fortnightly basis from the outset of 1988. When their intentions became clear, the Hall Committee refused the use of their premises.
The problem of locating a suitable meeting place was solved in a most remarkable way. Sometime before, the old Methodist Church came into the hands of a brother who had an interest in seeing services held again in his area. He agreed to allow the use of the building for Prayer Meetings. In due course the old Church was purchased, repaired and generally made ready for use once again.
The Church Micro IE series is open to everyone; if you have a church you would like to place a cache at then please contact THE_Chris through Geocaching.com. This is to keep track of the numbers of the churches and give you the general format for the cache page. In the UK there are thousands in the series so we have some catching up to do! Also, if you currently have a published cache at a church that you would like to include in the series, get in contact and we can add it.
