Geocache Description:

This a unique container that I found at work one day. It contains a log sheet only, so bring your own pen to sign in. Park at the listed way point and stay on the rail bed until you get to the structure. Remember to wear orange during hunting seasons and please obey the rules and guidelines of the PA Game Commission.

Do not venture onto the posted property that runs along the side of the rail bed at this point. We don't think you'd want to anyways because it's all swamp and beaver dam on either side of the rail bed. You'll have to weave in and out and around some growth, but we managed easy enough passage without any danger. Please replace the cache exactly as you found it so that others can enjoy the hide as well.

This rail bed was once used by the mining town of Boyers. Boyers was once a thriving little town based around the limestone mining industry. Here at this structure, you'll clearly see what was left behind of the old railway. Please be extra careful here, though the bridge is solid and safe. Not a lot of mining goes on around Boyers anymore, though now it's claim to fame is being the home of the great Iron Mountain. Here's a unique container and a nice hide to bring you to the end of this piece of rail line. Happy Hunting and hiking!
