Cenote Amira is NOT a swimming Cenote.  There is a small cave entrance, with a rock and earth mound and shallow water.

It is believed that the Maya Primicia ceremony was once performed at Cenote Amira.
The ceremony was to ensure a good season with the gods, (harvest season or otherwise).. The first offering of the season was performed here. For example, an offering of the first fruits of the season, the first harvest, even the birth of the first offspring of cattle.  (The first fruit of any activity, or the first news of an event.).  It was believed that it was not until having made the first offering that man would receive divine approval or consent to freely enjoy the rest of the goods or enjoy the event.  The offerings were placed on an altar of leaves usually Jabin and other plants from the area.

Cache Description:  Medium size tubular container with twist top lid.
There is a small logbook inside and space for small trinkets.  Bring your own pencil or pen.
