Geocache Description:

This is the beginning (or end, depending on your direction of travel) of the Flooding Creek Track that goes around the eastern side of the Sale Common (Wetlands). You can see evidence of the common being used for summer grazing all along this track in the form of old fencing, but here is the most obvious - a cattle race.

Snakes are common along this track, so keep an eye out during warmer months. This is Australia, after all.

Flooding Creek Track follows the southern end of Flooding Creek. Flooding Creek runs through Sale beginning in the north west, with the mid-section diverted into the Thompson River to become the current Port of Sale. The southern section begins near Lake Guthridge and empties into the Latrobe River.

One of two remaining caches in a ten cache series.
