Legendariske Paul Elvstrøm -
havets rockstjerne

And in english:
Legendary Paul Elvstrom - the sea's Rockstar
How does one describe a man who puts everything in Danish sports to fade?
I have no idea where to start - his 4x Olympisk goldmedals or the 13 world championships or all of his inventions?
About the bricklayer who trained in his mother's laundry room, so hard that he could hang over the railing for 15 minutes where others barely cope with one minute?
His fairness that probably cost him the bronze medal at the Olympics in 1984?
His training during winter? Was the sea iced up, he found a boat that made an ice-free channel, and sailed behind it
Paul Elvstrom nearly eaten by a shark - a true anecdote.
During the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 a journalist came under pressure for a cover story and delivered this:
"Paul Elvstrom nearly eaten by the shark."
When his chief editor gently asked if the story really held, he replied:
"Paul gives a damn and the shark will with guarantee never complain!"
(Ahem - the truth in this, is that the journalist wrote it)
Oops - what about that restaurant?
A visit to Hellerup Sejlklub is a must.
Here you will find not only Øresunds best views from the terrace, but also an excellent and reasonable lunch.
You should sacrifice an hour here enjoying the sailors splash around in the harbor - there is always something happening here.
