Il aura fallu plus de 20 ans pour que la ligne Bordeaux Saint-Louis / Lacanau-Ville soit prolongée jusqu'à l'océan. Ce tronçon dit "d'intérêt local" a été inauguré le 1er janvier 1905 dans le but de créer une nouvelle station balnéaire sur la côte. La ligne a connu un essor remarquable jusqu'en 1934 mais le trafic voyageur a été définitivement interrompu en 1954.
Le bâtiment de la gare de Lacanau-océan a été démoli pour laisser place à la salle de l'Escoure.
Pour trouver cette cache, il vous faudra parcourir 2 étapes.
- Etape 1 : Vous vous trouvez face à une fresque murale représentant l'ancienne gare.
A = le nombre de personnages représentés sur la fresque multiplié par 10
- Etape 2 : Une auberge accueillait les voyageurs qui devaient être bien assoiffés après 3 heures de périple depuis Bordeaux. Une statue, reproduite à l'identique en 2005, trônait sur le toit du restaurant.

It took more than 20 years for the Bordeaux Saint-Louis / Lacanau-Ville line to be extended to the ocean.
