Whomping 🌲 Traditional Cache

Come to the beautiful Lagan River, see the wonderful wildlife and smell the musky aroma of the woodlands.  The cache is a natural camoflage and would be best reached from the river.  There is a lot of prickly vegetation around it, so it is unlikely that it can be retrieved from the bank. You can put in from Shaw's Bridge car park or from Minnowburn. 

Many birds including grey heron,  moorhens, tree creepers, great crested grebe and the fluorescent kingfisher can be seen around the river.  Ancient oak, willow, beech trees and hawthorn hedgerows are among the many different types of vegetation here.  You may be lucky to see a an otter or two.  Please describe your journey to the cache and maybe attach a photograph.  The cache only has room for a log.
