Geocache Description:

Find the little nano cache hidden close to a great sculpture at the entrance to Park West Business Park.

When Park West was built the developer commissioned nine well-known artists to do a total of 16 pieces which can now be found across the park. Many are positioned strategically to make the most of the landscape like Orla de Bri’s ‘The Son of Sisyphus’ , which was commissioned to detract attention away from unsightly pylons at the entrance to the park.

The piece is based on the Greek myth of Sisyphus who was condemned by the gods to push a huge rock up a hill only to have it roll back down again for all eternity, representing the drudgery of every day life. In this piece his son sees the error in his fathers ways and decides to seek a different perspective, standing at the top of the hill and contemplating the ball.

The sculpture comprises an 8ft high bronze male, backed by limestone megaliths, standing above a stepped waterfall contemplating the 5ft bronze ball below. The sculpture was unveiled on the 21/10/1999 by Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern.

The cache is a magnetic nano container. Please put it back to exactly the same spot, where you found it.

Happy Caching!
