Geocache Description:

A good viewing point for the Kaikohe Murals trail.

At the GZ you will find a seat.  The seats located closer to the main road (in the original cache location) were created using timber from the now demolished Kaikohe Hotel which once stood in the town.  The seats were crafted by the residents of the nearby corrections facility.  Across the path are a number of paintings created by the students of Northland College art teacher Chris Wilkie.  These murals depict a number of past and present Kaikohe local people who have done very great things for the area.  Further down the path in library square is a mural by Chris Wilkie that shows local faces from young to old.

Beware this is a high muggle traffic area so please use stealth when retrieving and replacing the cache.
