Crazyburn - Walk the plank

This cache is one of the Crazyburn series of caches that will take you for a little trip to different places around Craigieburn.
There is a mixture of sizes - larger caches hidden in plain sight, smaller containers hidden in nooks and crannies, sneaky micros, and everything in between. There is a mixture of areas – parks, shopping centres, sports fields and even the big weird things that you see while you drive around, but never went and had a good look at. Some of the caches will be easy finds, while others will hopefully have you scratching your head for a while.
Some of the caches in this series contain a clue for the final, so make sure you write down any numbers that you happen across.
This cache is located in a park along the Malcolm Creek. In this area, the path of the creek has been changed significantly to provide a flood retarding basin to reduce the chance of flooding further down the creek.
What this means for us, is that we get a developed area of parkland, complete with a few different walking/running loops of carrying lengths, a playground and BBQ area and workout stations among other things.
There is a high level of muggle activity at many times of the day, as people and their furry friends come for walks around the area. When placing the cache, I watched a young dog get off their leash and start terrorizing the poor ducks in the lake, much to the dismay of the former lead-holder, who presumably was none too impressed with having a swampy, muddy and wet dog to bring home!
The cache is located at one of the less-travelled areas of the park – a place where pirates may force one to “walk the plank”. You will need to walk the plank to get to GZ, unless you feel like a wade through the swamp. Be grateful, however - a walk down the plank was not as sadistic a punishment as some others, such as keelhauling.
The path is prone to flood during times of heavy rainfall, but don’t worry – the cache is above the water line, so the raised water levels will only serve to clean some of the duck poo off the path!
