Join us for our Big Event Day! It all begins at the Wolf Creek Park where geocachers will meet to get their location for "It's All in the Details." Be prepared to drive awhile to find a cache which will need to be described in detail. Sheets of required info will be passed out to those attending. Find the cache and bring back your sheet completely filled out and all participants names will go into the drawing for prizes. These caches can be found and described by teams of geocachers if you so choose.
At 3:30 pm, we will begin the second part of this event which is "The Last Geocacher Standing." All geocachers attending will stand. Questions will be asked and when we get to a question that you cannot answer with a YES, then you will sit down. (Please bring camping chairs as seating is very limited at the Wolf Creek Park location.) Once seated, you cannot stand again - even if a question is asked to which you could have answered YES. "The Last Geocacher Standing" (or Geocachers) will receive a special prize.
The last part of this event will be a drawing for prizes from all participants who completed the "It's All in the Details" info sheets. We have over 40 prizes to be awarded so hopefully, not many will go away empty handed! Prizes will include geocoins, trackables, and geocache containers.
This event weekend is co-sponsored by the City of Foley and the Foley Public Library. Snacks & water will be provided at this event. This is the 2nd Event in our Foley Geo Weekend. The weekend begins with a Foley 2nd Time Around Meet & Greet on Fri, Feb 24, 2017, and will conclude with a Foley "Draw Your CITO From a Hat!" event on Sunday, Feb 26, 2017.
