Geocache Description:

The headland of Clodgy Point lies just along the South West Coast Path from Porthmeaor Beach St Ives. Views are pretty magnificent on a sunny day and we're sure you'll enjoy your walk on less sunny weather.

We decided to make this cache a TB Hotel. Larger than other caches so it will accept larger TB's. You are very close to the Trig point column. Part way between the trig point and the lower section of the path. Some great views from here. Don't forget to take you photo from this high point.

Trigpoints were and still are used to help provide markers for map making. Ordnance Survey surveyors would have brought all their column making materials to this point to both measure height, distance and direction and to construct the tower itself. More information can be found here

Please recover the cache carefully.

Placed with the kind permission of Natural England and Cornwall Council.
