Middle to Locust FTF Power Trail #1 Traditional Cache

CrimeFighter89: Sad to see this one go, but it appears to be missing again.

I had a vision in 2016 of starting a power trail that extended 20+ miles from northeast Bettendorf to west Davenport. A trail that would include 50+ caches hidden by a variety of owners. I foresaw those being green icons, primarily 1.5/1.5 P&Gs on signs. Oh now naïve I was. Our creative Quad City [and beyond!] cachers stepped up to the plate and hit a grand slam with this excellent series. Puzzles, multis, letterboxes, WIGs. Heck, I'm surprised no one tried publishing an earthcache somewhere!

This trail morphed into an awesome series and it's all thanks to the COs. THANK YOU to each cacher who "FTF'ed" and raised the bar with the next in the series.

Geocache Description:


Middle Road turning into Locust Street spans 20 miles, beginning in northeast Bettendorf and ending in western Davenport. It is a thoroughfare for traffic in Scott County. This is an FTF Power Trail, beginning at the start of Middle Road. A "Power Trail" is a series of at least 50 geocaches within close proximity. An "FTF Power Trail" means that if you are the "first to find" a cache in this series, please pay it forward by placing the next cache along this trail, and do so within two weeks of getting FTF. Keep in mind that some areas will be higher muggle traffic than others, so you may have to be creative in your hides, and may have to slightly dive off course to put out a hide.
