My attention was originally caught by an impressive tree and then I saw something else, that looked like a tree grimacing..on investigation I could see why...
Tracks: This track is rated “experienced” by DoC for good reason, there is some vertical climbing and hiking boots are recommended
Parking: Dome valley car park or Govan Wilson road
Timing: Day time, track crosses private land and there is some pretty gnarly terrain
Cache: signal not so good, looking for smooth barked light coloured tree on the right of track (from the dome) thicker than the surrounding undergrowth, approx 5-6 m off track, with an unusual line
