Geocache Description:

... is that you DON'T talk about Fight Club.

The second rule is:  You solve this mystery cache puzzle...

As we at Cache the Bayman! continue to do a series of winter-friendly park-and-grabs to keep our "Cache Club" going through the winter, we are going to add a little twist in some cases: A puzzle to solve.

This time around, we're taking you to the movies, or at least trivia from some of Senior CtB's! fave films. Here goes!

The coordinates of this cache are:
N47 3A.BCD
W052 4E.FGH

Where the values that match A through H above are found from answering the trivia questions below. The pictures are links which you can click on to take you to YouTube videos which, in many cases, will be beneficial in answering the question.

A = The Ath Rule of Fight Club is: No shirts, no shoes.

B = In The Usual Suspects, how many felons were grabbed by Kobayashi for the police lineup?

C = In Good Will Hunting, subtract the first digit from the third digit in the number of Skylar's dorm room.

D = In the trailer for Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo, the original trailer opens with a dictionary and a definition of the word "Vertigo". In this particular dictionary, this definition is on page 1D21.

E = In The Big Lebowski, The Dude has only one ID card issued to himself. It's not a driver's license or a social security card. Once you find the card onscreen, add all of the single digits in the card to one final sum. E = the second digit in the sum.

F = In The Godfather, there is a distinct scene where Michael goes from a decorated war hero outside of the family business to the heir apparent, entrenched in the family business. A meeting is set up to avenge the attempt on Vito's life one night as Sonny, Tom Hagen, and Michael get together to work out a plan. How many people, including Michael, were to be at the meeting at the restaurant? (And... if you're a fan of this movie, have you ever noticed the symbolism of Michael and his body language in the chair compared to Vito's, and Michael's speech due to his injured face, compared to Vito's? Brilliant!)

G = In 12 Angry Men, the start of the jury's vote is 11 to 1, with Juror Number 8, played by Peter Fonda, needing to talk things over some more before sending an 18 year old to his execution. As the talking begins, the switchblade used in the murder comes up for discussion. In the iconic scene in the movie, how many switchblade knives become stuck in to the Jury Room table?

H = With Lost In Translation, movie star Bob Harris (played by Bill Murray) ends up in Japan making a series of TV and print ads for Suntory whiskey. After Bob attempts to deliver the line "For relaxing times, make it Suntory times", how many times does the (not-so-relaxed) Japanese director scream "Cut-O!" to end the take?

If you have not seen any of these movies, I highly recommend them all (though I know my ex-wife would not)! I also recommend going to the geochecker.org link below for this geocache, to confirm that you are on the correct path to the cache!

We enjoyed putting this cache together so much, we have since made two more movie trivia themed caches:
"My Name is Inigo Montoya" (GC7037C)
"The World Famous Jack Rabbit Slim's Cache Contest" (GC70X4N)
Why not try these as well? :)
