Geocache Description:

Ideas for cache series can spring up from anywhere. This series first came to mind when reading the local newspaper recently and seeing all the focus of the new mural in Lansdowne, promoting all things good about our town, Bournemouth. This series holds a strong connection with me as I appreciate the art on display, having studied art for 6 years of my younger life, together for my love of all things Bournemouth!

The cache containers in this series are varied, however there is nothing bigger than a film canister, therefore no TB’s, coins or swag can be left behind. The nature of this series results in the caches being placed mainly at urban locations, so please carry out your search with stealth. I hope you find the murals interesting and would love to read your feedback in your logs.

Bournemouth Murals #6 / Missing Dog

This mural is a sad one. It would be assumed that Henry the dog never got found, and 11+ years on, this dog would no longer be around in any case, but how sad for the owners to lose a loved one. However, this mural would have served as a fitting memory to its owner and are no doubt reminded of all their treasured time together every time they see the wall.

Upon placing this cache, another missing dog poster was attached next to the mural. With the bus stop at the location, it seemed a good place to share this information. Let’s hope that dog owner is more fortunate having lost their dog in December 2016.
