What is your phobia?
Are you afraid of the dark? Are you claustrophobic? Are you afraid of heights? Do you not like sticking your hand or fingers into dark, unknown places? Do you have a fear of flying? Do you have a one of those strange phobias such as a fear of grasshoppers, dragonflies, butterflies, cows, frogs, or feathers!? Do you despise slime? Are you afraid of water? Do you loathe creepy crawlies or creatures with 8 legs or flying "rats"? Do you fear clowns? Are you afraid to get lost deep in the woods? Do you avoid trains? Do you despise things that slither or crawl out of a swamp? Are you afraid of sharks? Do you fear wasps?
This cache will tap into one of the phobias above. Bring an extra set of underpants... Just in case this happens to be YOUR phobia!
The cache is located in an area where this phobia likes to hang out and stalk its food. Be afraid...be very afraid, as this hunter has an uncanny way to trap its prey. Just hope you are it in its sights! I recommend stealth as you approach so you do not frighten it as this creature has been known to attach itself to unsuspecting victims when they least expect it!
You can either park at the Fanning Trail parking area near the Southeast Church of the Nazarene or take a steeper hike and park at the Land Trust trail parking lot on the top of Cecil Ashburn where you will have to park across the street and carefully walk across.
When you find the cache and are ready to sign the log, please take care to note exactly how you found the container so it can be replaced in the same manner so others can have the same experience (and to help keep the log dry).
Remember, one way to get over a phobia is to face it head on :)
Good Luck!
