Eglinton Country Park gives you space and freedom to enjoy a wide range of pursuits. The area is crisscrossed with plenty of paths and bridleways which allow you to get out and about and enjoy the surrounding countryside.
The park covers an area of 400 acres with several miles varied walks catering for all ages and abilities. Enjoy a mixture of scenery as you pass through from parkland path to riverside walk, woodland and forest or open hill to loch shore.
Located within the visitor centre is a display on the history of Eglinton Country Park, covering aspects dating back to who held title of the land at the time of the Norman Conquest, through the years of expansion, improvement right up to the present day with details of the developement towards country park status.
The Ranger service in the park offer a busy programme of events tailored to young people and their families.
The paths here can be wet, muddy & slippy so appropriate footwear is recommended.
