This picturesque little cemetery is located on the south side of Marne, Michigan, across the street from the old Marne Elementary school. I have driven past here many times, and if you're just driving, it's probably a place you'd miss, just as I used to. I finally said to a family member recently, "Did you know there's a cemetery in Marne? It's right on Hayes by the school!", amazed to discover it's existence. I also met Mr. Wayward Wanderer recently and told him I was thinking of placing a cache here, and he told me he and Mrs. Wanderer used to have a cache here years ago, title Marne's First Cache. So, to draw a little more attention to a historic cemetery, and a picturesque one at that, I have decided to hide this cache here. As mentioned above, please respect the graves, and obey Michigan law, and no caching after dark, or after 9 pm, whichever comes first depending on the time of year. Also, do take a moment and wander around this cemetery, very pretty location, and some neat gravestones here as well.

Congrats to CCSquire on notching the first to find on 1/31/17. One other note about this cemetery: the driveways through this cemetery do not get plowed from what I have seen, so if we get a lot of snow (hasn't really been a problem this winter so far), you likely will not be able to park in here. In that case, I would recommend parking across the street at what used to be the old Marne elementary, and now is the south campus of Berlin Baptist church, and walking across the street.
