Geocache Description:

Pick up this cache on your way to the north-western point of the island, where you might glimpse remnants of earthworks (fortifications) left by Continental Army soldiers during the Revolutionary War. While hunting for this cache, notice the grapevines and bittersweet vines donning the cherry trees.

This cache is placed here until early May when we will be getting ready to launch the 2017 NYS Parks Saratoga Capital District Geocache Challenge. For more details check out the Peebles Island State Park website. This cache is in addition to the Winter 33 caches hidden at Moreau Lake, Grafton Lakes, and Schodack Island State Parks. Enjoy winter in our State Parks!
