Apollo has many unusual traits and one of them is a love for field corn. Whenever we hike near farmers fields its always a great laugh when Apollo finds field corn. He goes completely loopy when he finds it, runs as fast as he can to get away, tears the husk off and proceeds to take each kernel off the cob and spit them out. If you get close to him he takes off with the cob to spit kernels undisturbed.
Da Bush Man and Apollo are buddies and today Apollo got a rare treat as Da Bush Man gathered several frozen ears, stuffed them in his pockets and proceeded to occasionally throw the knucklehead a cob over the course of our hike.
We placed a couple caches here today and named this one after Apollo's love for field corn.
