This event is for the early birds coming to the Geocoinfest on Saturday 16 September 2017 and serves as a kick-off for 4 days off fun.

We will meet at the statue of "Fonske" at 8 PM and stay there till 8:30 PM. However, if you want to participate to the "Treasure Game Mission", be on time at 8 PM!

Fonske represents 2 aspects of this city that made Leuven famous: beer and students. The statue speaks for itself but student organizations, in disagreement with the artist accusing him to stereotype students as drunken people, insist that what is poured out of the mug is water, the source of wisdom (Fons Sapientiae).

People will be divided in teams of about 7 people with a mission to find a treasure. The mission starts at 8:30 PM and will bring you, while passing the world famous city hall, to the "Oude Markt" (Old Market place).

The "Oude Markt" is a rectangular square in the center of Leuven that largely consists of one pub next to the other which made this place known as the longest bar counter in the world.

What if you are late (past 8:30 PM): no panic, you can still attend the event but join us at The Capital (see additional waypoints) where spockske will await you with the logbook. 

The official event ends at 10 PM.
