Although the age of this church and cemetery is uncertain, the earliest burials are infants in the 1890s. In these rural church grave yards one will often find many such graves because doctors were scarce and often too far away to be of help. Although the families frequently had children that survived into their adult years, there were so many that did not. In this cemetery you will find that this family (Stalvey) has multiple generations of family members resting here, a tribute to their determination to carry on through even the most difficult hardships.
