Geocache Description:

First built in 1861 as the means for residents East of Valley to get to town during rainy seasons. Rebuilt in 1889, by T.H. Barnes, engineer building New Birmingham (Now ghost town to the East). Maintained by city of Rusk until 1950. Restored in 1969 on plans by Barnes. 546 feet long and 4 feet wide, take a walk, enjoy the scenery, and then venture off the path to find your cache! For an extra hunt see if you can find the roots in the shape of a heart.

This is my first hide. It is an old Plastic Folgers can that has been painted. There are small trade items in there. The First four to start are original works of art by my children. I hope you'll treasure them. The kids and I would love to see a pic of who claims one of their paintings, if you feel so inclined to include one when you log your find! Happy hunting and have a blessed day! FTF Prize is your choice of painting. ****** CONGRATULATIONS to TP-Conductor and yakman4 for the co-FTF, 2/6/17!! Thank you for the great feedback! And you're welcome! Glad y'all enjoyed it! :) ******
