Guess Who Oak Opening Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BLACKWATCH CLAN: I have not been able to get out to this cache. It has been there a long time, Ive had other old caches in ammo boxes stolen or ruined lately. I suspect this is another victim of a saddistic cacher.
Sorry to those who couldn't find it.

Geocache Description:

Hint..Spray yourself with insect repellent, I used Deep Woods Off, as this is an insect haven

We found this trail in one of the TAKE A HIKE books. It is an area formed when an ancient draught caused a field of grass to be surrounded by oak trees. The Indians and settlers both used its features to their advantage. It is one of less than 20 Oak Openings remaining in the world. It is home to birds, butterflies, animals, and plants. Today the D.E.C. works to save this resource.
The trails are a challenge to follow; sometimes mowed and sometimes not. We followed a one lane path that Coyote called a 5 stool hike.
Your GPS may lead you to believe you have to bushwack early on; but have faith and follow the path until you are close to the cache box(40 ft. or so).
We saw many animal tracks, and one barefoot human print; Sasquatch? Gamma Kitt pried a large spent bullet from a tree so don't go during hunting season.
The cache box is a 50 Cal. ammo box painted black. It has the usual log book, camera, and trinkets. Please trade fair, and enjoy the area.
