Geocache Description:

This is a nice place to visit not far from my house and is next to the railway.. It is quiet and dog friendly

this is placed in an Orchard run by a group of local people. It was originally conveyed to the local Council at the end of the First World War by Henry Gribble Turner and the conveyance contains a restrictive covenant that the land can only be used for food production. Mr Turner was concerned about food shortages and wanted to provide somewhere where local people could grow their own. . A once neglected piece of land when i was a child is now an attractive and fruitful public space . Placed with Kind permission of the people who run the area, (the secretary and chairman to be exact)
