Geocache Description:

Dredgers Key, now known as Sigsbee Island, was created in the 1940s from dredge spoil following the construction of Navy seaplane runways supporting the former seaplane base at nearby Trumbo Point. Sigsbee Island is connected to the island of Key West by Sigsbee Road.

The island and causeway are part of the Key West Naval Air Station. It is primarily used for Navy housing. It also includes a Navy Exchange, commissary, elementary school, marina, child development center, youth center, recreation center, RV park, and Sunset Lounge bar & grill. As a part of Naval Air Station Key West, there is restricted access and a valid military ID card is required to enter the Sigsbee Island complex.

The cache is not located on Sigsbee Island, but in a clump of mangroves on the shore of a small island west of Sigsbee Island.  This cache is only accessible by boat.  Do not look in the unofficial "camping" and "party" spots, it is not there!

The container is a small ID and money container with only a log.  There is no room for any SWAG.  BYOP

PLEASE! Put the container where you found it so it's not too easy to spot.
