This is part of the VIEW SERIES. Which is a collection of locations that I find can be beautiful during certain times of the day. During our day to day routines between work, school, life and family, we manage to miss the simple beauty that is around us. This is a chance to pause and see that beauty. Even in locations we would not expect it.
While hiking with my boys on a cold November day, we spotted this area. The first thing that caught our attention is the set of stairs in the middle of the woods. Looking around, we wondered why these were here. There has been a drought recently which has caused the level of the lake to drop. Surely, the water doesn't rise this high. There must be a stream that runs under it. Hmmm. Not sure. As we stood there, we were able to pause and take in the beautiful scenery this area kindly provided. We decided to return later with hopes of hiding a cache here. Hope you find the hike and the view as enjoyable as we do.
