About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Lambourn Station

Lambourn Station opened on the 1st April 1898 and was at the western end of the Lambourn Valley Railway which connected Lambourn to Newbury, as well as several smaller villages en-route. The Lambourn Valley Railway was an independent company for the first years of operation and in 1905 was merged into the Great Western Railway. The line was subsequently merged into British Railways in 1948. Lambourn Station was closed to all traffic on 4th January 1960. Nothing now remains of the station and new housing occupies the site of the station and the yards.

The Reverse Wherigo

The cartridge was developed by -Waldmeister- and has been used by cachers all over the world to develop their own Reverse Wherigo.

There are three 6-digit numbers to activate the cartridge; you will be able to obtain these by visiting The Old Station Yard.

Download the Reverse Wherigo cartridge onto your device. Once activated the cartridge will inform you of the distance to the cache, but not the direction.

At the start of the cartridge, you will need to enter three 6-digit numbers to activate it. To find the numbers, go to the published coordinates and look at the road narrows sign on the lamp post. You will find on the back of the road sign a year 19AB and a larger white number C.

Substitute the numbers for the letters in the following three 6-digit numbers and you enter these into the cartridge one by one when prompted:

50B39A

C57B16

06B061

Please note that once you are within 25m of the cache, you will be able to view the final coordinates.
