Text Based Puzzles
Coordinates may be hidden in the text of the puzzle itself using many methods such as highlighting parts of the text according to the formatting.
It's always worth checking the source code of a page for extra clues that may not be immediately apparent or indeed visible at all on the actual cache page. Hints may be written as comments that would not display on the page. Examining the source code may also reveal formatting in the html tags, for example a change of colour would be obvious on viewing but a similar font or a font size change may not.
The structure of text can also be used. Pay attention to odd wording or phrases that may suggest the text is adjusted to fit or disguise coordinates. If a Cache Owner's other cache descriptions are meticulously spelled and grammatically correct then any deviation is probably on purpose.
Your turn :)
North - If I've created nonsense text or artwork consider the size rocks or any stuff I've added. Four example looking twice can illuminate previously hidden information.
East - You can assume zero degrees. Depending on the type of coordinates used the. Northings may be written after Easting. For example Grid References or OS maps. Also checking the geochecker may suggest the coordinates format.
