HR: Godine 1873 otvorena je pruga Rijeka - Karlovac duga 176,2 km. Mjesto ovog cache pa poslje i mosta nije slucajno, najme to je ono čuveno mjesto za sačekuše ljeubitelja vlakova, gdje lokomotiva u punom galopu izvlači vlak od Meje prema Plasama uz 26‰. A tu se može vidjeti trasa pruge od Škrljeva pa do pred Melnice.
