This Virtual cache is located at Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg Maryland. Please be sure to stop by the visitor center at (N 39 28.442, W 77 44.673), to pay your park user fee. The fee is only $5 per car and includes a movie about the battle and visitor programs.
The inspiration for this cache came form Ilard0101 Angles among us Virtual cache. The monument that Ilard0101 chose is a very simple monument dedicated to one of the most important people to come to the Battle of Antietam. The monument I chose is a large gaudy monument dedicated to a person who's important's at the battle was very small. In fact, when I worked at Antietam a few years ago I considered this to be the least important monument on the battlefield.
In order to log this cache as a find you must find out who the monument is to. Also, you need to find out why he has the nickname ‘coffee boy'. You may need to go to the visitor center and ask a ranger there to get the information. When you have the information e-mail it to me. Do not log it on this page encrypted or not. If you log this cache as a find, but do not send me an e-mail your log will be deleted.
