HAKAHAU est une petite communauté Marquisienne avec 1350 habitants. Il y a environ 700 catholiques, et cette église est l'église paroissiale. L'église a été construite en 1981. La pierre de fondation se trouve à l'intérieur, près de la statue de Notre Dame.

The foundation stone is inside close to the statue of Our Lady. The cache has been placed in front of the church and once you've located it, you may want to go inside for a visit and see some beautiful carved sculptures. The parish priest, Pa Yvan is a keen geocacher so if he is at home, do pop in and say hello, otherwise you may leave a message with the secretary.
