THE CACHE
Dear Geocachers, this time a would like to introduce you to a Night Cache for you to enjoy this amazing part of North Sydney after the sun sets . The coordinates indicate the starting point of the night tour through the Wendy's Secret Garden. From this starting point, using a flashlight , look for the path indicated with reflective pins on trees or street items. I tried to locate most of them about two meters above the ground , but sometimes I had to place them lower due to the vegetation.
The path follows a marked path, so no need to venture through the vegetation. One mark the beginning of the path, and three pins together mark the end where you have to look for the cache. Please, leave the cache as hidden as possible.
HAPPY SPOOKY HUNTING!!
HISTORY OF THIS PLACE
TRUE to its name, Wendy Whiteley’s garden is one of Sydney’s most beautiful secrets.

There's no paint, only plants. No canvas, only soil. No pencils or brushes, only sunshine and greenery. But the ‘optical erotica' that inspired Brett Whiteley at the foot of his Lavender Bay home has been reborn. For years, this land was tangled, overgrown and strewn with rubbish, a dead-end dump for surplus trains and derelict humanity. But when Brett died in 1992, his widow Wendy channelled her grief into creating a place of enchantment: natives, exotics, herbs and towering fig trees run along winding gully paths while parrots, gulls, kookaburras, owls and wagtails chatter amidst the flowers and berries. Tucked away in the shadow of office towers, it is both public land and private paean to love, loss and renewal.
