2018 hunting season is 1st April - 21st April from 2 hours prior to sunrise until noon each day. Do not hunt for these caches between those times.
This is a walk through Xemxija woodland area consisting of 11 caches which we have placed in honour of our Daughter Emily! You will find a nice selection of hides, cache containers of differing size and a couple which require a little extra thought.
We love this area, especially outside of the Summer months as it is a stunning green with so many wild flowers but even in Summer it offers a perfect opportunity to escape the heat and find some true shade under the tree leaves. The walk is suitable for all ages with very easy terrain throughout, the caches are designed with family in mind so should be suitable for all ages however a couple do require a bit of extra thought or effort. Please do be aware that at certain times of the year you will hear gunshots throughout the forest, these come from a shooting range (clay pigeons) within the forest and should offer no threat to anyone as the caches are placed away from any area of danger.
During the spring there is a period when the forest will be closed for the bird hunting season, this in 2018 is between 1st April and 21st April and will take place between 2 hours prior to sunrise until noon. Please Please Please do not attempt to find the caches during this period and risk your life during this time.
