Geocache Description:

The sun officially sets on Madeira Beach at 7:42:27 PM on this last official sunset of this winter season.  Yahoo!

I actually considered celebrating the Vernal Equinox on Monday at 6:29 AM but I figured that those of you who aren’t busy getting ready to go to work that morning would not be rushing out to a geocaching event at that hour!  (If someone else wants to organize one, I will attend!)

Come on down to the beach starting at 7 PM to watch the sun set on winter while swapping geocaching experiences and personal signature items! I am again visiting from upstate New York and love meeting geocachers from near and far.

Group photo at sunset, followed by a few raffle prizes.. I will probably have some trackables to pass along.  Event will officially end at 8 PM or however long everybody sticks around.

If you’d like, come early to enjoy a swim on this beautiful beach!  After the event we can all go for some ice cream just down the street.

There is paid parking very near to the event location. Remember to bring chairs if you'd like to get off your feet during the event.
