Cecilia has been doing a fair bit of caching with Daddy recently and is loving it! so we thought it about time for Cissy to place a cache of her own. Etherow country park is one of Cissys favourite places and is a great trip out for familys. Nice easy walking around the pools feeding the ducks, watching the model boats sailing around or even real boats! After that you can have a look at the weir before exploring the woods. If you keep your eyes peeled whilst wandering around the park there are several industrial relics to have a look at too!
At the given cords face the weir. *Head East along the road to the fork in the road,stand at the right hand fork facing uphill. *Head uphill for approx. 75m and round the bend for approx. 25m. You should stop at the signpost. *Use the signpost to head along the tramway trail, after a few metres you should turn a bend and be heading south. *continue south along the tramway trail for approx. 200m. You will arrive at the fairy den on the right/west side of the path. Feel free to have a look around the fairy den. *From the fairy den head south along the Tramway for approx. 30m to a fork in the path. The cache is at the base of tree just south of the fork on the east side of the path.
