A Frankel Leó utcai zsinagóga története 1888-ig nyúlik vissza, ekkor építették a korábban Zsigmond, ma pedig a XIX. századi újságíróról és politikusról elnevezett utca 49. házszáma alá. Az 1920-as években köré lett építve egy lakóház, mely a zsidó hitközség tagjainak és intézményeinek adott otthont. A második világháború idején a hitközség tagjait elhurcolták, a zsinagóga épületéből istálló lett. Érdemes megnézni a láda megkeresése előtt a Duna-part felőli homlokzatot.
This synagogue, shrounded between the walls of some residential buildings, was built in 1888 for the growing Ashkenazi population of the area. In the 1920's, the present-day apartment buildings were erected closely next to the walls of the synagogue, and they housed some members of the Jewish community and their offices, institutions. During the second World War, the Jewish population was taken away and the beautiful building was reduced to a stable. Thankfully, the building has been renovated and is still actively used by the Jewish locals. Before retrieving the cache, its worth your time to look at the facade from the Danube side.
