Geocache Description:

Welcome to our new Visitor's Center!

The Houma Terrebonne Tourist Commission was created in May 1978 with the purpose to promote Terrebonne Parish as a premier leisure and business destination. In efforts to create a space for visitor's to feel welcome, the HACVB opened its new welcome center on June 1, 2000. Tourism continued to grow and expansion was needed again! In July 2016, the Houma Area CVB celebrated the opening of the new HACVB Visitor's Center. Inside the center, you will see a variety of exhibits describing the area, Interpretive panels, and a variety of videos. Be sure to stop in and take in the beauty of the new center. You are looking for a medium size container hidden inside the Visitor's Center. We would like to have this cache known as a trackable hotel. So, come in and trade with us. The launch of this cache is during our GeoGras 2017 event. Cache only available during business hours only! Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
