The suggested parking is for the series as a whole. You may also park near the trailhead for Fearrington Flora 3 and 4.
If you approach by the trail from Fearrington Flora 2, you may see some of the “animals” featured in Fearrington Fauna 1. The gentleman pictured here points the way. Cross the creek at Fitch Bridge, then cross again at the "Y" Bridge and take the Creekwood North trail.
Caches are located no more than 25 feet from the trail. On the log sheet you will find a letter-digit pair. Use the pairs from each cache in the series to find the location of a bonus cache, Fearrington Flora Bonus 1.
Each cache is also within 30 feet of an information sign, which may describe a tree or other plant, or serve as a memorial. The signs are adjacent to the trail. Use them to answer questions about the plants or other features. Use the answers to find a second bonus cache. See Fearrington Flora Bonus 2 for a list of the possible answers.
