Yunishikawa is secluded area about 30 km further from Kinugawa Onsen. Also Yunisikawa Onsen is secluded, quite nice spa hotels are in the area. The legend says The Heike refugee were settled here after loosing fight with Genji. There are several atractions to display the legend of Heike. From late Janyary through early March, they host "Kamakura Festival" which decorate with snow lanterns and snow men in the area.
To get here by car have to drive about 20 miles in the mountain. Especially in winter time the road will be completely frozen so have to be very careful. Otherwise take bus from Kinugawa.
Tengakudo Suspension Bridge was build 1995 to make walking route for the area. The cache is placed near the bridge.
湯西川は人気のある鬼怒川温泉からさらに30kmほぼ山奥に入ったところにある秘境です。温泉郷でもあり湯西川温泉は秘境の温泉とされていますが、立派な温泉旅館がたくさんあります。ここはその昔、平家の落人が住み着いたという伝説があり、平家の里として観光誘致に励んでおります。また1月末から3月初旬にかけて「かまくら祭り」が催され、河川敷や街路に雪洞や雪だるまが飾られ里を彩ります。
ここに来るには鬼怒川温泉から山道をかなり走ることになります。特に冬場は凍結路になりますので運転には十分気を付けてきてください。運転に自信がなければバスを利用しましょう。
天楽堂つり橋はこの地域の名所旧跡を歩いて回るために1995年に作られました。キャッシュはこの橋の近くに置きました。
