Ami Indiának a Tádzs Mahal, az Magyarországnak a Bory-vár. Bory Jenő (1879-1959) építész és felesége, Komócsin Ilona festőművész közös tervezésű épülete az "örökké tartó szerelem és példamutató házasság szimbóluma". Az akkor még szinte teljesen üres területet Bory 1912-ben vásárolta meg, 11 évvel később kezdte el a monumentális építkezést, melynek minden szakaszát maga csinálta negyven éven keresztül segítőkkel. 1934-től nyilvánosságot kapott a kezdeményezés és Bory maga kezdte el az érdeklődőket körbevezetni az épületben. Hét torony, egy 30 méter magas díszkút, kazamaták, oszlopcsarnokok, medencék és műtermek találhatóak a várban, mind betonból építve, Bory úttörője volt ennek az építési anyagnak a felhasználásában. A Bory-vár szerepel a Guinness Rekordok Könyvében, mint a legnagyobb épület, melyet egy ember épített. A vár belépővel szabadon látogatható.
India has the Taj Mahal, but Hungary also has a magnificent work of architecture dedicated to true love. Architect Jenő Bory (1879-1959) and his wife Ilona Komócsin designed this fairytale castle and every aspect of it was their handiwork. Bory bought the formerly bare area in 1912 and started the monumental construction 11 years later, working with a small group of helpers, but otherwise, overseeing every phase of building during a period of forty years. In 1934, the public began to take notice and Bory started to give guided tours to people interested in his creation. Seven towers, a fountain thirty meters high, underground passages, columns, pools and art salons can be found inside and outside the walls of the castle, the entirety of which was made from concrete, a material Bory was a pioneer in using for construction. The castle is included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest building to be constructed by a single person. Visiting the grounds and the castle is itself is possible with admission fees.
