Update 10-23-2025: The original
location of this cache was 500 feet further down the knife-edge ridge to the
southeast. The traverse of the ridge has become even more treacherous, with
loose soil conditions and sketchy footing. I have moved the cache just a short
distance from the road. The new location is easy to reach with no exposure
to cliff dropoffs.
This cache was a fitting tribute to the 5,000th geocache find by
Orange Crash.
Mr. Crash is a big fan of the band
Rush, as am I, so that
is the theme of this major milestone. The cache has been stocked with a
tribute item for both the band and the cacher. Please feel free to take
one with you.
Enjoy this unique location and offer
your congratulations to Orange when you next encounter him!
This cache is part of a series leading you on a hike to the top of Humbug
Mountain.
Please see
