The aim of this event is to take a drive down the SA, Vic Border Track starting at Cox's Windmill Campground and slowly working our way down to Red Bluff Campground where you can camp the night or leave via Mount Shaugh Track. Alternatively you can just come along for the event and have a chat and share some stories. Both the event and Border Track drive are 4WD only. There are some chicken tracks around most of the tough sections along the track that most of us will take, but if you are super adventurous, feel free to take the tougher paths. For the Border Track you will need a capable 4x4 with recovery gear, just in case! We will need to deflate our tyres down to 16-18 psi to make the trip possible and to also preserve the tracks.
This event will be taking place at Cox's Windmill Campground at 9am until 9:30am where we can share stories and have a chat as we prepare for the Border Track. There is a $10 fee per vehicle for the Border Track and camping is $12 per night per site at Cox's Windmill Campsite. You can find more information about the Park Fees here.
