This geocache is part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Wildlife Management Area System in 2017. There were 49 geocaches hidden on WMAs across Florida, from the panhandle to the Keys. See if you can find them all!
For more information on Three Lakes WMA visit http://myfwc.com/viewing/recreation/wmas/lead/three-lakes/. You can also see a calendar of hunt dates on this site.
There is a daily use fee to access the area if you do not have a Wildlife Management Area Permit or a Sportsman’s, Lifetime or disabled person’s license.
There are thousands of acres of dry prairie on Three Lakes WMA as well as creeks, sloughs, and the lakes for which the area is named (Marian, Jackson, Kissimmee). You can hike a segment of the Florida National Scenic Trail here and the geocache is located along the FNST.
